We went to visit a member the other day and saw the steps into her house and couldn't believe how scary they looked.
They were just stacked cinder blocks that were very unstable |
The step from the house to the first block was really long. The top of the blue board is at floor level |
All of the cinder blocks were removed and then treated posts were set into the ground. With the help of two of our missionaries we built the top landing. |
Next we added the side rails for the stairs. |
The finished steps. They are not up to the standards I would like. We didn't have a level and we ran out of the new boards we had purchased, but it is still a dramatic improvement. |
Finally, Paula and her friend tried the new steps into her house. She said "I love them". |
