Youth Games

The second counselor in the mission presidency, President Robert McIntosh, and his wife were here for the weekend to conduct our branch conference and do temple recommend interviews among other things. Saturday morning we had an activity for the Seminary aged and Institute aged youth. President McIntosh led them in musical chairs and they caught on quickly. Mom and I were out in just a couple of tries.
Down to five in the musical chairs. They look like they are having fun.
After musical chairs Sister McIntosh taught the youth how to do a country line dance. Some of the girls did pretty well but the young men were not so good. They had a good time none the less. After the games we viewed a video about an early church member who paid the lein against the Kirtland Temple property just one day before foreclosure. His name was John Tanner and he was a very wealthy man who joined the church and was inspired to move to Kirtland and didn't know why. He arrived just one day before the church would have lost the temple property. If you haven't seen it, it is called "John Tanner, a Life of consecration".

We'll have to check out that video, I've never heard of him before.
