Opportunity only knocks once

But opportunity knocked twice for us this last week. Our first opportunity was the blessing to be able to deliver a child size wheel chair to a free pediatric clinic sponsored by the St. George's University Medical School and the Grenada Heart Foundation. Pictured below is Ms. Jennifer Solomon from the GHF with Sister Bush handing off the wheel chair. The church has asked that we find humanitarian projects while we are here in Grenada. We are currently looking for a couple of larger projects to give to our humanitarian senior missionaries who will then facilitate the church's involvement. The second opportunity to serve came on Friday. Elder Bush and Brother Edwards, second counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency went to replace some rotted stairs for a sister who is not a member but comes to church from time to time. The stairs were in bad shape and pretty dangerous. This is what they looked like before the project got started. Elder Bush on one side and Brother Edwards on the other nailing in the new steps made from 2" X 12" treated lumber so it won't rot. Brother Edwards, Elder Bush and a happy Sister Merle. No project is really worthy unless there is some blood.
