France
We are so pleased that we got to visit a tiny part of France. Everything we saw was so clean and lovely. We arrived in Toulon. Then were able to see sights in Sanary, Bandol and Le Castellet. The ride from Tulon to Sanary was very pretty.

Sanary-sur-Mer is a picturesque port village. They have an open air market with all sorts of produce, meats, olives and cheeses. We bought some raspberries that were so good we had to buy more. They had some unusual fruits and vegetables like these tomatoes.
The harbor was so scenic and colorful. It would make a good puzzle picture. Fishermen sell their catch daily from the harbor.
There is a small church there called Chapelle Notre-Dame de Pitie. These old churches are filled with paintings from top to bottom. Michael Ballam liked to sing for us.
We moved on to our next stop Bandol. Another scenic harbor town known as the tranquil village. It was a gloriously beautiful day with beautiful blue skies and a light breeze. We enjoyed seeing this very clean town. Lunch was good. We had French Fries, naturally!
It was a short bus ride to our next stop, Le Castellet. Our view from the top of the cliff over looking the vineyards of Bandol.
This is a charming well-restored medieval village with cobblestone streets. There are two gates into the village.
There is a Romanesque Church from the 12th century. Over the years the church has undergone many changes and additions. The date on one of the floors says 1645.
There was also a medieval castle with a spectacular view.
Back on the bus. We see our last scenic views of France and our visit ends.
DID YOU KNOW
Jacques Cousteau, a pioneer in deep-sea diving had a house in Sanary. He and Frederic Dumas invented the aqua-lung.
There have been vineyards in Bandol since 600BC
Le Castellet is a very small village with a population of 242.

Glad you got to see some of France. I've only ever been to the airport in France, so it doesn't count!
That open air market looks wonderful and I really think you should make one of those boat pictures into a puzzle. :)
I like the one with the 4 boats up close, it has a lot of color!
