Our Apartmant

This is our apartment as seen from the street. The entire top floor belongs to our land-lady. There is a little addition down in the right corner which is the sister missionaries apartment.

One morning we got up and looked out and saw this fantastic rainbow right out our front door.

The front door is barred and has two strong locks on it. We have been told to have it closed and locked even when we are inside in the daytime. It is rather a pain to deal with. The windows all have bars on them too. This is typical of every building including the branch meeting house.

Our living room has a couch with a woman, two cushioned chairs, a coffee table and another small table. We try to cool it with two fans. It almost works. The floor is ceramic tile everywhere.

The kitchen has a gas stove, a microwave, a toaster, a toaster oven and a fridge. You can't see it but there is an island counter in the middle of the kitchen/dining area.

Our bathroom has a tile shower with sort of hot water...well warm anyway. It is the only place in the apartment with warm water. The shower head has an electric heater in it but it really doesn't get hot. One crummy little mirror and one small cabinet for our stuff.

We have two bedrooms but this is the one we use. It is right next to the bathroom. Our computer and out TV are in this room along with an easy chair. This is the only room with AC. The other bedroom has a bed but we use it mainly for storage of missionary supplies.
